We are looking for a hands‑on Materials & Chemical Engineer to join our composites team in Augsburg. In this role, you will support material development, process improvement, equipment implementation, and technical problem‑solving for advanced thermoset composite manufacturing.

What You Will Do

Serve as a technical resource for composite materials, thermoset formulations, and manufacturing processes.

• Develop, qualify, and improve materials, products, and process controls.
• Lead problem‑solving efforts for material, chemical, and process-related issues.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, FMEA, Control Plans, and A3 project methods.
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, sales, and global teams to share best practices and deliver customer‑focused solutions
• Responsible for formulation development and adjustments to match customer expectations
• Optimize thermoset formulations and processes to produce products in TGC processes that exceed customer expectations.
• Responsible for development of new materials and product realization
• Support capital equipment projects, including specifications, statements of work, supplier proposals, installation, and launch.

Requirements

• Valid German residency and work authorization (No visa sponsorship provided) German resident, required
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in manufacturing engineering, composites, thermoset materials, chemical processes, or industrial process development.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to move technical work from concept to execution.
• Experience with thermoset composites and/or composite processes, preferred
• Experience with process documentation, data analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Comfortable working cross‑functionally in a fast‑moving manufacturing environment.
• German and English communication skills; bilingual fluency is strongly preferred.

Compensation: €75,000–€102,000, based on experience and qualifications.
