The Associate Supply Chain Manager Europe is responsible for managing demand planning and customer supply chain activities primarily for the EU market. They will deliver a high-quality 24-month forecast, manage the consensus and demand review process, and support the region during a period of high growth. Their responsibilities include coordinating production with plants, managing shipments, overseeing the HBP team to meet service KPIs, and supporting distributors through the EUDR transition.
The role also involves leading joint-value-creation projects with customers, focusing on cost savings and supply chain flow optimization. This position is crucial for achieving key sales and operational objectives.
Major Duties / Responsibilities :
Deliver GS
- Deliver monthly, quarterly & FY GS in line with plans and stretch targets.
- Coordinate with HBP team to ensure proper order planning and invoicing.
- Provide clear GS updates, explaining key movements.
- Work with Supply Planning to ensure OTIF production for customer orders.
- Maintain accurate stock checks and container plans.
- Inform distributors of stock movements impacting DOS.
- Achieve targets for OTD and CFR.
- Develop demand forecasts using external data and statistical methods, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Distributors.
- Lead the monthly IBM Demand process, presenting forecast outlooks and changes.
- Maintain a 24-month operational forecast in APO system.
- Manage forecasts for external co-manufacturers.
- Improve planning tools and processes.
- Contribute to strategic and annual planning.
- Monitor DOS and KPI metrics for distributors.
- Work with distributors to set optimal inventory levels, considering freshness, bias trends, and other factors.
- Communicate proactively with Distributors on SC issues.
- Drive improvement projects in forecasting, supply planning, and inventory management.
NPD & Seasonal Support
- Support NPD development and new product launches.
- Input operational timelines and data for projects.
- Set up new items for forecast management.
DDD and Stock Management
- Approve packaging and raw material write-offs related to item discontinuation or replacement.
- Monitor aging reports and take actions to reduce DDD charges.
- Collaborate with sales on aging stock opportunities.
- Coordinate re-packing or liquidation of excess stock.
Business Analysis and Insights
- Automate reporting to future-proof the supply function.
- Analyze sales data and plans for forecast accuracy improvements.
- Provide insights for monthly demand meetings.
- Explain forecast performance metrics as needed.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements :
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields preferred; Master’s or certifications like APICS are a plus.
Experience :
At least 5 years in supply chain roles. Educational requirements can be flexible.
