Technical Specification Manager - Graduate

As a Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the creation, management, and dissemination of technical specifications to customers for Mineral Wool products within your region of responsibility. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, quality assurance, and manufacturing, to ensure that technical specifications meet the requirements of the customer and any other stakeholders and adhere to industry standards.

Your role will involve analyzing technical detail and requirements, documenting specifications, facilitating communication between all parties, and ensuring consistency and accuracy throughout the specification, tendering and awarding of projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Providing technical advice and performing calculations, including U-value (thermal transmittance) calculations and guidance on mechanical fixings, for contractors and specifiers regarding mineral wool products.
• Performing calculations and preparing slope designs for flat roof systems.
• Participating in the complaints handling process in accordance with the applicable procedures, including conducting site visits and meetings with contractors.
• Close collaboration with the Quality Control (QC) and Research & Development (R&D) departments in testing in-house and competitor products.
• Preparing and conducting technical training for internal sales team, contractors and specifiers in the use of mineral wool, appropriate construction practices and necessary certificates required during the construction of buildings.
• Conducting research and analysis to verify trends in the thermal insulation materials market in order to develop a group of products and then presenting them to the superior in the form of a report or presentation.
• Active participation and representation of the company at conferences, symposia and construction fairs.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCES

• Integrity and Honesty and proven work ethic.
• Higher technical education degree – preferred civil engineering.
• Knowledge of documentation and standards in the field of thermal insulation materials within your region of responsibility, familiarity with the standards regarding mineral wool will be an additional advantage.
• Knowledge of the English language.
• Practical knowledge of programs: AutoCAD, MS Office package, DachDesigner.
• Initiative, commitment and responsibility.
• Independence and ability to set priorities.
• Driving license category B
