Marriott International is seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead the pre‑opening and launch of
Hotel Paris Vienna , one of the most anticipated luxury hotel openings in Central Europe. This role will oversee all aspects of planning, recruitment, commercial strategy, operational readiness, stakeholder engagement and brand activation from the pre‑opening phase until the anticipated opening in Q4 2027.
As a member of Marriott’s Luxury Collection portfolio, the General Manager will translate the owner’s vision into an exceptional luxury hospitality experience while ensuring alignment with Marriott International’s standards, culture and values.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all pre‑opening activities and critical‑path milestones
Build and develop a best‑in‑class Executive Committee and leadership team
Establish strong relationships with ownership, local stakeholders and community partners
Create a compelling commercial strategy to position the hotel as a market‑leading luxury destination
Drive operational excellence and guest satisfaction from day one
Deliver financial performance, market share growth and long‑term asset value
Champion Marriott’s people‑first culture and talent development philosophy
Candidate Profile
Previous General Manager experience within a luxury hotel environment
Demonstrated success leading luxury, lifestyle or iconic destination hotels
Experience managing complex stakeholder and owner relationships
Strong commercial capability with a track record of delivering market‑leading performance
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop high‑performing teams
Previous pre‑opening experience is strongly preferred
Strong understanding of the DACH market and European luxury hospitality landscape
Fluency in German and English is essential
