Quality & Aftercare Lead – Frankfurt / Rhine-Main

Excellent opportunity for an experienced SHK Meister to take ownership of quality assurance, technical handover and aftercare activities across hyperscale data centre projects, with the opportunity to establish and lead a regional quality and reactive service function.

Job Description

The Resolute Group is working in partnership with an international specialist in the design, construction and maintenance of cooling and chilled water systems for hyperscale data centres.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified SHK Meister to join a growing regional team and take responsibility for developing the quality and aftercare function across the Rhine-Main region. Working closely with clients, general contractors, site teams and an established engineering and planning team in the UK and Ireland, you will ensure quality standards are maintained, defects are resolved efficiently, and installed systems are supported throughout the defects liability period.

This position offers significant scope to shape the regional operation, establish processes and build a team within a growing data centre business.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical authority for SHK (sanitation, heating and air conditioning) activities across the Rhine-Main region.
  • Fulfil the technical responsibilities of the Betriebsleiter, supporting the company's registration in the German Handwerksrolle.
  • Implement and align existing quality management processes with German standards, regulations and technical requirements.
  • Lead and develop the regional quality and reactive service teams, establishing effective processes and standards.
  • Coordinate quality inspections, technical acceptance procedures, handovers and defect rectification across data centre projects.
  • Work closely with general contractors, clients, subcontractors and site teams to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Oversee aftercare activities and the resolution of technical defects during the defects liability and warranty period.
  • Support the inspection and verification of installed cooling, chilled water and associated mechanical building services systems.
  • Act as the key link between regional construction sites, clients and the international engineering and planning teams in the UK and Ireland.
  • Monitor outstanding defects, coordinate remedial works and ensure issues are resolved within agreed timescales.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, quality records and reporting in line with company procedures and German regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve quality processes, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction and aftercare delivery.
  • Support the continued growth of the regional operation, helping to establish the structure, standards and team required to support future projects.

Qualifications

  • Must meet the applicable requirements to act as Betriebsleiter and support registration in the German Handwerksrolle.
  • Experience working on large commercial, industrial or technically complex construction projects.
  • Good technical knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, heating systems or mechanical building services.
  • Experience in quality assurance, technical inspections, handover, defect management, aftercare or technical service delivery.
  • Previous team leadership experience, with the ability to develop people, establish processes and build a regional function.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working alongside clients, general contractors and subcontractors.
  • Good English language skills, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with international colleagues.
  • German language skills sufficient to manage local technical, regulatory and site-related requirements.
  • A valid driving licence (Class B) and willingness to travel across the Rhine-Main region.
  • Previous data centre experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

You need to be living and eligible to work in Germany to be suitable for this position.
