Project Manager Utilities

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for the project management of parts of the Utilities infrastructure (>30M EUR)
• Collaborate closely with EPCM and permitting partners (reviewing schedules for deliverables, formulating civil scopes, enforcing D&E standardization).
• Ensure integration and validate brownfield adaptations as applicable.
• Conduct reviews and approvals for documents, drawings, and requests for change.
• Enable periodic internal reviews and coordination with stakeholders to address gaps and follow-through resolution.
• Proactively escalate any project governance issues that are creating a barrier to project delivery in a timely manner and make suggestions for how they might be brought back to plan.
• Drive continuous process improvements through the project lifecycle, by using lessons learnt and identifying opportunities.
• Analyse improvement areas identified via maturity assessment, evaluate use cases, prioritize and propose actions.
• Support and report to the Steelmaking plant (SMP) project delivery lead of the GP project.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with EPCM or EPC companies.
• Expertise in Project Management.
• Goal oriented, results driven, takes initiative, leadership, and attention to detail.
• Effective communicator, with the ability to proactively deal with senior executives and stakeholders, persuading them to meet deadlines.
• Proven people management skills.
• 5+ or 15+ years’ experience as a Project Manager in a similar role (we are looking for medior/senior profiles).
• Relevant experience in any of these domains is required:

• Process systems (mainly water & piping systems)
• Electro mechanical installations

• Professional certification in PMI or Prince2.
• Master/Bachelor degree in engineering or equivalent professional technical education.
• Project language is English.
• Knowledge of the Dutch language is a prerequisite.
