Summary:

WVCO B.V. is seeking a highly motivated & self-driven Service Technician capable of working independently to service equipment in-house and occasionally at customer sites, build and rebuild equipment, organize and plan inventory parts, and keep the service area clean and organized.

Primary Duties:

  • In-house assembly and maintenance of new and used equipment used to disburse putty, polyurethane, epoxy, or other products sold by the Willamette Valley Company B.V.
  • Clean and rebuild used equipment
  • Diagnose equipment failure based on findings during the rebuild of equipment
  • Organize spare parts inventory and keep track of inventory levels
  • Sourcing of consumable equipment and parts for the service department
  • Perform housekeeping duties to keep the service area clean and organized
  • Support Field Service occasionally, when needed (30% travel)
  • Ability to manage numerous short and long-term projects
  • Maintain regular communication with the Technical Service Manager

Non-Essential Duties:

  • Participate in Customer Service visits or installations if the need arises
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as requested by the supervisor
  • Support the Sales department in preparing sales samples
  • Some weekends and holidays required

Experience:

  • One-year certificate from college or technical school
  • Minimum 6 months to 1 year of related service experience and/or training
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in English and Dutch
  • Experience with an ERP system like SAP, Oracle, Navision, Red Prairie, IFS, and Lotus
  • Proficient working with tools and equipment
  • Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic fittings, seals, systems, and applications
  • Willing to obtain chemical handling certification
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Current valid driver’s license
  • Obtain Passport with no travel restrictions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Forklift (heftruck) certified
  • Experience with tools and equipment related to service obligation

Employment Type: Full-time
