We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our BioProduction Service and Support team. In this role, you will travel to customer sites to install, service, update, and repair Thermo Fisher Single Use Technology (SUT) hardware and automation products.
This is a field-based role, primarily supporting customers across the Nordics, UK, and Ireland, with potential support across the full EMEA region. The role requires frequent travel (75-100% of work time) to sites across EMEA. When not traveling, you will work from home. Ideally, we are looking for a candidate based in the Netherlands.
Responsibilities
- Support customers with troubleshooting, installation, preventive maintenance, repair, verification, and qualification services.
- Perform commissioning and qualification of equipment, including Site Acceptance Test (SAT) and IQ/OQ Protocols.
- Collaborate internally to resolve customer issues and improve processes.
- Provide product training and technical assistance on instrumentation.
- Report activities via Sales Force Service desk and communicate customer feedback.
- Assist in revenue optimization and new product demos.
- Maintain technical skills through training and staying updated on products and market trends.
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Delta V or similar control software preferred.
- Experience with Single Use Technology is a plus.
- Experience in commissioning and qualifications in facilities or utilities.
- Knowledge of CAPA, change control, deviations, and document management systems.
- Experience with IVD instrumentation or medical devices is advantageous.
- Customer-centric approach and comfortable in client-facing roles.
- Proficiency in English; additional Nordic languages are a plus.
- Valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel extensively.
- Self-sufficient with good prioritization skills.
