Baseform is opening in Germany, and this position will be key to accelerating our pace of growth. The Sales Representative will identify, prospect, cultivate, and grow Baseform’s base of German water utility clients by contacting pre-existing and new prospects, assisting clients in developing business cases, and effectively communicating the value proposition for the Baseform solution.
For this position, the successful candidate has a proven track record of prospecting and cultivating new customers in the water/public utility sectors, closing SaaS sales, and consistently exceeding sales targets. This person will have an independent, results-driven work ethic and understands that with products that open new perspectives to clients, it is imperative to go out, disseminate, and evangelize. They will also be focused on learning and understanding client needs, sharing insights and lessons learned with Baseform’s global marketing and sales team.
Equally importantly, the ideal candidate will identify strongly with Baseform’s mission and values, be passionate about the software, willing to learn how to use it, and be laser-focused on delivering results for the client.
Impact You Will Own
- Develop and execute sales plans to achieve new customer revenue and expand revenue with existing customers
- Build a long-term, visible sales pipeline
- Exceed sales goals through strategic account planning and networking
- Expand Baseform’s presence in Germany
What You Bring
- A proven track record in prospecting, cultivating new business, closing SaaS sales, and exceeding sales targets
- Experience in enterprise or cloud software sales in the public utility sector, or in a customer-facing role within a public utility (water sector preferred)
- Excellent technical and IT aptitude; keen interest in software and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Confidence engaging with utility executives, technical managers, water engineers, and network experts on technical topics
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and persuasion skills
- Ability to develop and implement a strategic regional plan and execute it consistently
- Accurate forecasting skills and ability to maintain a steady pipeline of opportunities
- Self-starter attitude, independent work ethic, motivated to grow in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Experience with CRM systems like HubSpot, Salesforce, or equivalent
