Owners of the German family businesses we work with want to see the same figures before each meeting, whether or not they work in the business themselves. We'd like a Junior Controller in Germany to put those owner reports together. It is a full-time position, remote from anywhere in Germany, with colleagues in Charlotte six hours behind.
Responsibilities you would hold
- Build monthly and quarterly reports for owners and boards from client accounting data
- Reconcile the reported figures with the general ledger
- Prepare distribution, dividend and budget scenarios for discussion
- Explain variances in short written notes
- Keep the reporting calendar and data requests on schedule
What you should already have
- A degree in business administration, finance or economics
- First experience in controlling, accounting or audit, internships included
- Excel: pivot tables, lookups and formulas across sheets
- Reading income statements and balance sheets
