Thor Companies is exclusively partnering with a leading European SAP consultancy to appoint a Lead SAP MDM / MDG Expert , with a defined roadmap to step into a Practice Director role within 6–12 months .

This is an outstanding opportunity for a senior SAP professional who combines deep technical expertise in Master Data Governance with a passion for leadership, team building, and strategic delivery .

The Opportunity

You’ll join a highly regarded SAP partner with a long-standing reputation for excellence and innovation. The role focuses on both hands‑on project leadership and building a new MDG / MDM capability within the business. You’ll alongside some of Europe’s most respected SAP experts on large‑scale S / 4HANA programmes while developing your own practice area from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) projects within international environments.
• Define and implement data governance and master data management strategies across multiple business domains.
• Oversee data migration initiatives ensuring quality, integrity, and accuracy—leveraging both SAP and non‑SAP tools.
• Take ownership of sub-projects and lead client engagements with autonomy and accountability.
• Mentor junior consultants and lay the foundation for a new MDM / MDG practice within the organisation.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to shape the long‑term strategy and service offering of the practice.

Your Profile

• Proven experience implementing and managing SAP MDG solutions.
• Strong background in S / 4HANA projects , with a focus on data governance and migration.
• Deep understanding of data quality management and external data migration tools.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English .
• A proactive leader who enjoys building teams, processes, and delivery frameworks .
• Willingness to travel within Germany and occasionally across Europe.
