We are currently looking for a passionate Consumer Insight Specialist to join our team. As a Consumer Insight Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping our product strategy through deep consumer understanding. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide insights that directly influence product development and user experience.
Location: on-site, Düsseldorf, Germany
Responsibilities
- From a product perspective, conduct customer research throughout the product life cycle to extract value perspectives, influence product portfolio planning, and enhance product competitiveness.
- Starting from the dimensions of functional features and selling points, based on the needs of the target group, conduct special user/market research, gain in-depth insights, identify innovation, and experience improvement opportunities.
- Starting from the user dimension, identify key usage purposes, scenarios, and equipment requirements of typical users to guide product development and improvement suggestions.
- Leverage internal and external resources (qualitative, quantitative, big data, competition data, market data, etc.), to formulate and implement rigorous research plans with the product team, ensuring high-quality outputs.
- Exhibit strong communication and coordination skills for effective cross-departmental collaboration, maintaining a systematic approach to product management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience in consumer insights, preferably within the mobile phone or consumer electronics industry.
- Proficient in both qualitative and quantitative research methods (surveys, interviews, focus groups, desk research, data analysis).
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills—able to combine empathy with data to uncover consumer motivations.
- Proven ability to turn insights into business strategies that enhance user experience and support growth.
- Experience leading customer insight initiatives and establishing best-in-class research practices.
- Passionate about technology, ideally with a keen interest in digital electronics.
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written); German or French is a plus.
