The opportunity

An international manufacturer of technologyfor the public transport sector is seeking a Service Technician to join itstechnical support team in Germany. The company offers a friendly, open workingenvironment and is experiencing growth alongside technological andorganisational change.

Role overview

Working as part of a team, you will resolvetechnical questions and day-to-day customer issues by telephone and email, withsite visits when required. You will also help maintain and support existinghardware and software while working on several projects simultaneously.

Your involvement will span the full projectlifecycle, from specifying suitable hardware during initial consultations toimplementing software on vehicles and installing hardware at customer sites.

You will report to the Sales Manager inGermany and/or a designated contact, collaborating with colleagues acrosssales, research and development, production and the wider technical serviceteam.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first-line telephonesupport for the company’s products, both from the office and while working offsite.
• Carry out site evaluations andrecommend improvements to resolve customer issues effectively.
• Install or retrofit products atcustomer sites.
• Create databases and mediacontent for customers and distribution partners using on-board products.
• Work with third-party suppliersto ensure integration between vehicle systems.
• Repair products and systems,producing detailed repair reports.
• Deliver technical training tocustomers and colleagues.
• Work productively withcolleagues to achieve shared company objectives.
• Work closely withcustomers toensure their requirements are met promptly.
