For our long-standing business partner AIRBUS we are looking for you as a new employee of Tintschl Technik GmbH to join our team as FUNCTIONAL ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER (m/f/d).
In this role you will contribute to the development and integration of advanced electrical systems for aerospace and defence applications.
Please note that candidates must be eligible to work on military or NATO projects with the necessary security clearances.
- Design, develop and specify electrical systems and components, considering performance requirements, weight constraints and reliability targets.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, cable harnesses and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Ensure compliance with internal engineering guidelines and relevant aerospace standards.
- Perform engineering analyses to verify electrical designs and ensure system performance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, including Mechanical, Structural and Systems Integration departments.
- Support troubleshooting, testing and qualification activities throughout the development lifecycle.
- Participate in technical discussions, design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the preparation of electrical test specifications and test plans.
- Master's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- More than 3 years of professional experience in Electrical Design Engineering, ideally within the aerospace industry.
- Strong expertise in electrical systems design, schematic development and wiring diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with relevant CAD/CAE tools, such as:
- Aucotec Engineering Base
- German: Good professional proficiency
- Familiarity with avionics architectures and communication buses, such as ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553 and AFDX.
- Knowledge of aerospace standards such as DO-254 and DO-160.
- Previous experience in aerospace or defence electrical systems development.
