Job Description

Your Role:

As Manager Business Development, you will manage strategic sales initiatives for the European IAM and lead a team that develops and implements measures to foster positive business development through existing and new sales channels. You will report to the Senior Vice President Automotive Aftermarket Europe.

  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities across Europe to close market share gaps.
  • Conduct market research and feasibility studies to assess market potential and develop go-to-market strategies for new products or services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define sales targets, market penetration strategies, and expansion plans.
  • Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives, monitor progress, and report outcomes.
  • Address execution gaps within strategic initiatives and implement corrective measures.
  • Manage and develop the Business Development Management team to support sales targets.
  • Prioritize tasks, plan work and resources effectively within the team.
  • Develop and implement measures to enhance business development via existing and new sales channels in the European IAM.
  • Ensure competitiveness of the product portfolio through collaboration with internal functions.
  • Monitor sales channel and segment performance and derive growth activities.
  • Participate in strategy development for the IAM Europe business area.

Your Profile

  • Degree in Business Administration or a comparable field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in a global environment.
  • Experience in sales and marketing in IAM; first leadership experience is desirable.
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
  • Results-oriented with strong analytical and strategic skills.
  • Motivated, dynamic, with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams on complex topics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the gravitas to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Personal integrity and confident demeanor.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%.
