We are looking for an experienced and driven Sales Manager to represent the business unit to our customers in a highly professional and ethical manner, promoting product leadership in component and systems technology.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Represent the business unit to our customers in a highly professional and ethical manner, promoting product leadership in component and systems technology.
- Manage a team to meet growth, profitability, EVA, market share, investment initiatives, and product leadership objectives for respective customers.
- Lead global commercial negotiations for respective customers and ensure compliance with annual goals and objectives.
- Monitor market dynamics, including customer and competitor developments, and relay relevant information to the Product Business Director for market sensing and develop sales forecasts and market trend analyses for monthly forecast adjustments.
- Develop and deploy comprehensive customer and pricing strategies to enhance profitability and growth.
- Maintain a clear understanding of market share, competitive position, and profitability at assigned accounts.
- Develop and implement customer interface strategies, build rapport with key decision-makers, and manage daily account activities.
- Create proactive new business opportunity plans and track progress toward sales targets.
- Own customer satisfaction, coordinate globally on customer issues, and monitor supplier metrics with corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with contract review procedures and commercial policies.
- Participate in the development and scheduling of special projects and customer events.
- Coordinate on customer issues globally when required.
- Develop sales forecasts for the Long Range Plan (LRP) and monitor market trends for forecast adjustments.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree preferred
- Extensive sales or engineering experience
- Significant automotive industry experience
- Proficiency in German and English
