Responsibilities:
- Provide quality knowledge for the (further) development of a product development process which represents the company´s, the product´s, and the customers‘ needs.
- Ensure the product quality criteria in project phase.
- Responsibility for the (quality) risk management in the projects.
- Definition and alignment of product standards to achieve the quality KPIs in the projects.
- Plan, organize and conduct product/quality reviews of new projects; define and review measures in case of deviation.
- Create transparency of the critical path in the overall timelines (e.g., engineering, operations, procurement, logistics, …) of new product projects; define measures to hit the project milestones.
- Escalation of main (quality) risks in new product projects to line manager.
- Initiate design to quality, risk, and maturity measures to ensure product quality and to safeguard our (quality) KPIs (key performance indicators).
- Conduct quality assessments for product and process topics during project phase; represent the quality and product standards in new product projects.
- Coordination of quality approval and release.
- Create, align, and provide maturity reports to the management on a regular basis.
What we are looking for:
- Technical degree in engineering or similar studies.
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in quality management and in the automotive industry – especially in the field of automotive new product projects (either in strategy, engineering, operations, or quality).
- Professional experience in the field of launch process and/or product development processes in the automotive industry.
- Ability to create new quality standards and project KPIs.
- High technical understanding in the automotive industry.
- High empathy and very good communication skills, motivation skills, and enthusiastic capacity – ability to adapt to diverse people and situations.
- High organizational skills and result orientation.
- Good analytical thinking.
- Pragmatism and a good understanding of lean principles.
- Very good English skills.
- Willingness to travel for business trips.
