Thomson Reuters Regional Head of HR – CEMA
The Regional Head of HR, CEMA is accountable for the leadership, policy, governance, and delivery of HR services, the leadership and development of HR team for the region. The role will partner closely with the HRBPs, HR Centers of Excellence and Global Regional HR teams to develop, promote and deliver a world-class suite of HR advisory and operational services, enabled by technology.
This role will also provide expert HR advice and support to leaders in driving business growth and ensuring the right talent is in place, building the overall talent pipeline.
This role will be responsible for delivering HR services and operational support to a diverse population of managers and employees.
The job holder will partner closely with business-unit HR colleagues and HR Centers of Excellence to develop, promote, and deliver a world-class suite of HR services, including core/annual HR processes and innovative programs.
About the Role
In this opportunity as Regional Head of HR, you will be responsible for:
- Talent and Employee Engagement: Develop approaches to build local engagement, focusing on compensation, benefits, talent, and learning & development.
- Attracting and retaining talent by implementing high-volume recruitment processes and attrition management tools.
- Involvement in strategic initiatives, projects, M&A as required.
- Manage and co-chair the European Works Council (EWC) and related activities.
- Support global HR and business initiatives, working across the matrix organization.
- Service delivery for hire-to-retire processes, leading and evolving the HR team across the region.
- Support negotiations with councils, unions, and other bodies.
- Partner with the business to ensure employee safety and operational security.
- Improve and automate HR customer experience, ensuring service excellence and process efficiency.
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence to innovate and improve services.
- Provide guidance on regional/local interpretations of global policies, ensuring legal and compliance adherence.
- Leverage Workday to maintain data integrity and process efficiency.
- Collaborate with regional teams to deliver value and performance metrics.
- Support global HRBP’s and business leaders in various challenges and priorities.
About You
You\’re a fit for the role if your background includes:
- 10+ years HR experience as a generalist and in operations.
- Extensive business partnering and HR service delivery experience, preferably in large, complex environments.
- Strong business orientation and leadership skills.
- Experience leading diverse HR teams across multiple locations.
- Ability to build trusting relationships with business leaders.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and development skills.
- Deep understanding of employment law and HR processes.
- Knowledge in compensation, mergers & acquisitions, talent management, etc.
- Strong delivery focus, managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to collaborate in a matrix organization.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to handle employee issues at all levels.
