Job Description:

Our unit is responsible for driving innovation within Mendix, working on cutting-edge technologies to democratize Generative AI solutions as part of our global R&D organization.

Our local team in Munich develops innovative solutions to enable our customers to create smarter applications leveraging generative AI, providing a great developer and end-user experience. Most of our components are showcased and available in the Mendix marketplace.

You’ll help drive digital innovation by:

1. Building new features on existing foundations, keeping pace with the progress in the GenAI space.
2. Collaborating with early adopters to develop a portfolio of GenAI modules and applications tailored to customer needs.
3. Working on a platform with strategic value and lasting impact, relied upon by thousands of developers and millions of end users worldwide.
4. Being thorough and detail-oriented; prioritizing clear answers over deadlines.
5. Exploring various technologies, including Java, CSS, JavaScript, or Python, beyond Mendix development.

You’re the innovator we need if:

1. Your Mendix skills are at an advanced/expert level.
2. You have at least 5 years of experience in Mendix application development.
3. You possess extensive knowledge of Mendix best practices.
4. You preferably have some Java programming experience.
5. You enjoy learning new technologies and languages as needed.
6. You thrive on solving complex technical problems.
7. You are responsible for your work’s quality and impact.
8. You have experience working in Agile environments and are adaptable and open-minded.
9. You are familiar with development tooling such as CI/CD, GitLab, and GitHub.
10. You seek a work environment that values your ideas.
11. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues in a modern office setting in Schwabing.

Bonus if:

1. You have a background in generative AI through education or work experience.
2. You have experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
3. You are passionate about software architecture.
