Responsibilities

  • Create and execute procurement strategies that align with the company’s objectives, ensuring cost-efficiency and quality in all purchasing activities.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to secure the best value for the company.
  • Develop and manage the procurement budget, ensuring all purchases are within budget and financial goals are met.

  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards. Identify and mitigate procurement risks.
  • Conduct market research into industry trends, pricing, and supply chain dynamics, using this information to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Oversee the drafting, review, and management of contracts with suppliers, ensuring terms and conditions are clear and enforceable.
  • Monitor procurement metrics and provide regular reports to senior management on procurement activities, performance, and savings.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as Finance, ESG, IT Security, and Legal, to ensure procurement activities support overall business objectives.
  • This role may require occasional travel to meet with suppliers and attend industry events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role.
  • Fluency in German and in English is mandatory; additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.
  • Knowledge of procurement software and tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in IT Services, Consulting, or any other industry with primarily indirect spend.
