Reporting to the Director R&D, the RF Engineer plays a critical role in developing RF systems through design, simulation, and optimization of RF/RFID antennas and small electronic circuits. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements, define layout specifications, and develop customized antenna solutions to meet customer and project needs. Your expertise in RF/RFID antenna design, simulation tools, and electromagnetic theory will significantly contribute to the success of our RFID products.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with RF engineers and project managers to understand system requirements and antenna performance targets.
- Design and simulate antenna structures and small electronic circuits using electromagnetic simulation software (e.g., CST Microwave Studio, HFSS, FEKO).
- Optimize antenna designs based on performance metrics such as gain, bandwidth, efficiency, and radiation pattern.
- Create prototypes and test antenna designs using laboratory equipment like network analyzers and range measurement setups in our test chamber.
- Analyze test results and refine antenna prototypes to enhance performance and meet project specifications.
- Design comprehensive solutions around RFID tags and readers according to customer specifications.
- Contribute to developing production processes and transfer solutions to manufacturing operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and advances in antenna design techniques and materials.
