Job Description:

A well-established Japanese trading house is currently looking for a Russian Speaking Metal Trader to join their growing Metal Recycling & Primary Metals Department. Based in their Amsterdam Branch, this role is suitable for candidates with approximately 2 years of sales experience.
This position involves about 30% business travel per month.

Type: Full-time, 12-month contract to start, with potential to become permanent
Working hours: 9:00-17:00, Monday to Friday. Currently, hybrid working style: 3 days a week in the office.
Salary: Up to €4,000 per month depending on experience, plus benefits (travel allowance, health insurance)
Start: Mid-September 2024
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands

Responsibilities:

• Deal with Non-Ferrous metal recycling and primary metals in the global market.
• Manage customer relationships from purchase to sales, including marketing, visiting, quality checks, pricing, negotiation, documentation, payments, and profit calculation.
• Develop existing customers and acquire new clients, explore new items, business schemes, and new business flows across various countries.
• Resolve customer complaints by investigating issues and developing solutions.
• Contribute to team efforts by achieving related results as needed.
• Report daily activities and analytical insights to management.
• Travel for business as required.

Qualifications:

• Fluent in both English and Russian.
• Legal right to work in the Netherlands (EU nationality, Dutch work permit).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• EU driving license.
• At least 2 years of sales experience; 3+ years in related roles preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of international trading, including shipping and Incoterms.
• Interest in Japanese culture (not mandatory).
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Personality: serious but able to have fun.
