The Nutanix Professional Services team significantly influences the success of each Nutanix implementation by its customers. The Services function ensures this success by engaging with customers during pre-sales and post-sales stages, assisting in their software-defined data center (SDDC) strategy and architecture. Besides helping customers implement Nutanix products successfully, the Professional Services team, in collaboration with our partners, ensures customer success in fully deploying their virtualized and software-defined data centers. The Nutanix Professional Services Consulting function includes assessment, design, implementation, integration, automation services, and project management.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Consultant to join our Professional Services team in Germany. The Consultant will work within the Services organization to help clients establish architectural vision and direction. They will assist in designing, deploying, and migrating complex applications and collaborate with software developers, consultants, and engineers to create scalable, repeatable solutions for partners.

Your Role

1. You will be responsible for leading workshops and consulting engagements with customers.
2. You will conduct pre-packaged Nutanix consulting solutions efficiently and effectively.
3. You will take ownership of business outcomes for virtualization & automation projects through requirements gathering and technical governance.
4. You will craft detailed design documents and perform hands-on implementation work.
5. You will collaborate with project managers on project budgets and delivery aspects.
6. You will provide technical input and review projects during pre-sales stages.
7. You will advise internal teams by providing accurate effort estimations.
8. You will identify future service opportunities within projects or customers, demonstrating commercial awareness.
9. You will actively contribute to practice activities, including developing standard methodologies, capturing intellectual property, quality assurance, and peer reviews.
10. You will maintain current knowledge of the entire Nutanix product stack.

What You Will Bring

1. Solid understanding of Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) concepts and implementations.
2. Proficiency in virtualization technology – VMware / Nutanix preferred.
3. Experience designing solutions with hybrid or private cloud architecture.
4. At least three years of delivering IT automation and scripted infrastructure projects using industry-leading technologies.
5. Experience coding in Python and working with REST APIs using the requests module.
6. Knowledge of PowerShell and Bash scripting is a plus.
7. Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
8. Understanding of modern software development methodologies such as DevOps, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean.
9. Ability to support and augment Architects on larger engagements.
10. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to read complex customer situations and adapt accordingly.
12. Solid understanding of REST APIs and their integration into heterogeneous environments.
13. Experience with deployment, management, and administration of industry-leading IT automation and orchestration tools.
14. Cross-OS knowledge, with at least administrator experience in Linux.
15. Exposure to Continuous Development tools such as Jenkins.
16. Experience with configuration management systems like Ansible.
17. Familiarity with source control tools like Git.
18. Fluent German language skills.

He joined Nutanix in 2015 as the first professional services employee in the Middle East and has built a world-class team in the region. Now based in the Netherlands, he serves as the Services Delivery Leader at Nutanix, overseeing operations across multiple regions, ensuring seamless service delivery. In this hybrid role, he collaborates with diverse teams to drive efficiency and excellence in service delivery.
