(Senior) Robotics Engineer – Solution Design (m/f/d)

About the role

The AI team at Agile Robots is seeking a dedicated Senior Robotics Engineer with experience in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) processes. You are expected to have at least 5 years of experience in the field, demonstrating proficiency in mechanical design, simulation, and analysis of industrial production solutions. This position focuses on optimizing the design of robotic workcells. Prior hands-on experience in this area would be a significant plus.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop key modules to facilitate the design of production lines.
• Work closely with the Robotics team to design and implement optimization-based solutions.
• Collaborate with team members to evaluate and improve existing systems and pipelines.
• Stay updated with the latest tools for designing and evaluating industrial manufacturing processes.
• Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design.
• Travel frequently to deployment sites, primarily in China (up to 40%), to collaborate with on-site engineers in deploying solutions and gathering feedback.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master\’s degree in Computer Science, Automation, Robotics, AI, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency with CAD software, ideally SolidWorks.
• Experience with simulation and design environments such as RobotDK, RobotStudio, or Visual Components.
• Experience with network and communication protocols like Ethernet/IP, CAN, OPC-UA.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities.
• Strong verbal and written English skills.
