Job Overview

TE Connectivity\’s Operations Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations and short/long-term planning for their managed groups. They oversee manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, EH&S, shipping/receiving, etc., focusing on technology development, continuous improvement, and translating customer requirements into advanced manufacturing strategies and processes.

1. Defining a manufacturing roadmap aligning product strategy with customer demand
2. Collaborating closely with sales and product management teams to expand market activities
3. Driving operational excellence through budget, policy, procedure development, and compliance management
4. Implementing Lean manufacturing strategies to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
5. Developing and executing Sales & operational planning to enhance efficiencies and Customer Experience (ECE)
6. Strategic workforce planning and employee engagement initiatives
7. Creating and maintaining an Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Roadmap
8. Identifying and applying operational processes and technologies in coordination with functions like ME or Supply Chain
9. Leading plant development and transformation across departments to support business strategy
10. Managing people activities including hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and employee relations
11. Representing manufacturing activities as needed
12. Managing working capital in line with business needs

Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a global manufacturing setting, with at least 5 years in operations management
• 3-5 years’ experience with LEAN Manufacturing and Business Processes
• Regional/Global experience working with diverse teams
• Strong leadership skills for building and motivating teams
• Experience with multiple customers and suppliers in a low volume, high mix industry
• Proven leadership in factory transformation and project management
• Knowledge of sales & operations planning and supply chain areas
• Excellent communication skills for strategic vision and results delivery
• Fluency in English and German
• Strong organizational skills

Additional Skills and Knowledge:

• Standards Knowledge – IATF 16949, EN 9100, ISO 9001, ISO 13485

Compensation

Competitive base salary range: $xxx – xxx (subject to change based on location and experience).

Internship Program

TE offers a comprehensive internship program with resources, networking, and professional development activities, including mentorship, courses, and project work during a 10-12 week summer session from May to August.
