About the company
Our client is an asset company with fast-growing investors in long-life infrastructure assets with a focus on rail freight. The group owns and manages more than 14,000 rail freight assets and is pursuing a clearly defined growth strategy with the aim of becoming one of the three largest integrated European rail freight providers in the market and expanding its geographic footprint.
Your responsibilities
- Developing and designing the ESG strategy and implementing ESG reporting in coordination with the relevant departments.
- Creation of a stakeholder mapping to explain their involvement in/with the company (SLO).
- Coordinating ESG projects and measures (CO2 accounting, determining ESG key figures).
- Analyzing and evaluating statutory and market targets and deriving recommendations for action.
- Formalize a decarbonization roadmap (with a quantified carbon reduction target trajectory that can be monitored and ultimately communicated).
- Implementation of a gender-specific remuneration policy with Human Resources.
- Preparing ESG reports in accordance with legal requirements or customer requirements.
- Implementation of ESG KPIs.
- Contact person for auditors and clients in relation to ESG.
- Establishing and further developing processes and ensuring compliance with the processes.
- Conducting and supporting internal and external audits.
- Advising and training the departments.
Your profile
- High degree of organizational skills, reliability and personal responsibility.
- Professional experience in a similar position and experience in project management.
- Structured and analytical way of working as well as strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
- Successfully completed studies related to sustainability.
- Specialist knowledge of ESG standards and reporting requirements according to GRI, CSRD, ESRS etc. as well as a strong commercial and technical understanding.
- Confident handling of Microsoft Office and an ERP system (ideally Microsoft Dynamics).

Salary information
- This position can be filled in Hamburg (DE) or Lucerne (CH).
