Job Description:

To support Underwriting and Operations in policy administration, invoicing, broker statements, credit control and other administrative tasks.
Roles and Responsibilities
Policy Admin/Booking
- Enter risk and policy data into the Operations systems within defined service level.
- Control proactively Salesforce prospects on an ongoing basis and ensure Underwriting is submitting booking information in a timely manner and that declined/NTU business is properly updated in Salesforce (keep Salesforce clean).
- Ensure high data quality in Operations systems (Salesforce, SPARC, Eclipse) through checks and reviews.
- Ensure Taxes are correctly declared/booked and processed internally.
- Establish premium invoices within a set timeframe after inception.
- Establish brokerage and Co-Insurance statement within a set timeframe after receiving premium payment and initiate payout process.
Credit Control
- Work on aged debt on a weekly basis.
- Ensure overdue debt is reported to Underwriters and execute on agreed actions.
- Ensure stage and comments for Finance team are up to date in Eclipse.
- Handle bordereaux and ensure claims information is shared with Claims team.
- Handle premium payments (based on “payments & receipts” file) and make sure policy assignment is being done in a timely manner. Avoid any backlog.
- Advise reinsurance department to ensure Facultative R/I can be paid out once premium received.
Administration/Other
- Drive continuous improvement of Operations and Underwriting Processes within own area of responsibility.
- Support the implementation of global Operations projects.
- Pro-actively inform internal/external stakeholders.
- Ensure filing of Operations documentation is complete.
- Assist in training of underwriters and new admin staff as required.
- Other administrative office tasks as deemed appropriate.
Experience
- Technical accounting or similar experience.
- Preferably with insurance background.
- Ideal candidate worked in the technical accounting department of a corporate insurance unit/company.
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive and team worker.
- Capable of multitasking and flexible when delegating some tasks.
- Curious and able to learn independently.
