Our client is an international organization located in Geneva. The Interim Head of Accounting will oversee and manage the accounting function within the organisation. This role involves leading a team of 10 accounting professionals, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards and regulations, as well as leading key projects:

1. Accounting
2. Accounts receivable
3. Accounts payable
4. Payroll integration
5. Travel cost & expenses integration
6. Fixed assets
7. Other subledgers
8. Consolidation/combination of group entities
9. Financial reporting incl. Annual Reports
10. Audit coordination
11. Tax
12. Tax records
13. Tax declarations, including collection of tax receivables
14. Tax documentation, incl. intercompany documentation
15. VAT, income taxes, cost taxes
16. Internal controls & compliance with applicable legal, fiscal & accounting norms
17. Team leadership & development
18. Systems and technology, evolution of ERP, linked systems and interfaces
19. FP&A support

6-month mission starting immediately.

The successful Interim Head of Accounting will come with the following background and experience:

1. Bachelor\’s or Master\’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
2. Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience with a minimum of 5 years of team leadership experience
3. Proficient knowledge of Swiss Code of Obligations and French accounting standards
4. Consolidation experience
5. Strong understanding of internal controls and compliance
6. Professional fluency in English and French (both written and spoken) is essential
7. Advanced proficiency in ERP systems
8. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
9. Pragmatic, result-oriented mindset
10. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance
11. Proactive and adaptable in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
