As a Service Engineer (m/f/d) based in Basel or Baar, you will perform activities required for the installation, start-up, technical support, and upgrades of Emerson systems at customer sites. You will be responsible for performing work according to the Emerson standards of safety and quality.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Perform Control system maintenance tasks and performance evaluations.
- Provide technical support to customers regarding process system inquiries.
- Perform system acceptance tests, installation, commissioning, training, fault analysis and rectification work at customer sites and installations.
- Assist in modernization studies and perform Hardware and Software upgrades and modifications.
- Be able and willing to perform emergency call-out services to provide customers with fast and efficient services.
- Communicate issues concerning customer satisfaction or customer requests for Emerson support to the responsible person in Service Management or Sales Management.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Completed technical studies in an engineering field.
- Relevant working experience in an Engineering or Service position within the process industry such as Food & Beverages, Life Science or Chemical.
- Good communication skills in German and English language proficiency (written/read/spoken).
- Car driving license and willingness to travel.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Experience within Process Automation, DCS (DeltaV preferred), PLCs, Control strategies and technologies, Commissioning and start-up of Automation as well as Server, PC and network equipment as well as familiarity with modern software tools and applications.
