Position: Technical Account Manager

Are you a technical expert on Audio Visual Integration & Design based in Switzerland? If so, we are looking for you.

This position requires traveling on a regular basis.

Must Have Skills:

  • Significant technical skills in the AV business;
  • 5 to 10 years Audio Visual integration and design experience;
  • Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics;

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with minimum 75% of all consultants and all technical managers.
  • Introduce all our new products and their advantages when integrated.
  • Discuss needed/wanted product or product changes.
  • Conduct research in a specific product group area at the request of the product marketing group.
  • Pro-actively contact the managers about completed projects.
  • Support consultants/dealers in their request for help on projects/tenders.
  • Troubleshoot on site at the request of our Application Engineers/Technical Services Director.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct technical training on site at the request of sales management.
  • Support dealer shows/trade shows, Extron institute, etc.
  • Intervene with troubleshooting/RMA/Driver call logs when there are more than 10 entries and a solution is not visible.
  • Check translations of our technical documentation (if applicable).

Personal Responsibilities:

  • Perform all tasks of an ‚Extron Applications Engineer‘ on a senior level.
  • Maintain current Instructor certification in all related Extron Institute course material.
  • Maintain certification in all product, test equipment, and technology areas (Technical Qualification Sheet).

Reporting Responsibilities:

  • Report monthly on the visits made to the Consultants, Technical Managers, Internal Consultants.
  • Provide a travel report of every visit.
  • Report the results of on-site troubleshooting and consultant’s projects to: Technical Services Director, Application Engineer(s), Account Manager involved.
  • Report a time schedule of pre-sales, after sales, and marketing activities.
