Responsibilities

In this challenge position as part of our ambitious future fuels global project, you will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of innovation within the marine engine development sector. Your primary responsibility will include, but is not limited to, the testing of our latest prototype design with cutting edge measurement technologies. In addition to these important tasks, we will also be required to satisfy the following:

  1. Leading performance, components and system tests in our R&D test center in Oberwinterthur
  2. Preparing test programs in cooperation with internal experts, the test team and externals (suppliers)
  3. Evaluation, calibration and installation of test/measurement equipment
  4. Analysis and visualisation of measurement data and creating test reports
  5. Organisation and quality control of required test components & equipment
  6. Continuous optimisation of test processes, measurement methods and data analysis tools

Requirements

  1. BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline (Marine, Mechatronic, etc.)
  2. Basic knowledge in thermodynamics and exhaust emissions
  3. Knowledge of data analysis tools (AVL Concerto, Matlab, Excel)
  4. Knowledge of data acquisition system as AVL Xion, Vector CANape
  5. Experience with SPS and measurement technology as AVL Indicom and WAGO
  6. General knowledge of data communication (CAN bus, Modbus)
  7. Structured and solution-oriented way of working
  8. Team player with good ability to communicate
  9. Willingness to support mechanical works
  10. Fluent in English and German
