ppWithin TotalEnergies Trading Shipping division, the Assets Trading Desk is a key growth component of the European Power Trading activity. /p pAsset Trading is one of several trading desks, working in close coordination with other power, gas and structured trading teams. /p pActivities are conducted from Geneva and cover a broad range of energy markets including Power, Gas, Emissions and related products, within an integrated trading environment. /p pThe desk mission is to optimise a growing portfolio of flexible generation assets and procurement contracts across multiple European markets, in coordination with internal stakeholders and asset owners. This is achieved through active participation in power, gas and emissions markets, with the objective of maximizing value and supporting the development of the Company’s energy activities. /p pYou will be part of a small, high-performing team, responsible for developing and implementing optimization strategies across short- and long-term horizons, in close interaction with Operations, Origination and other trading desks. /p pThe portfolio is diversified and expanding, covering multiple geographies and contractual structures, and is evolving in scale and complexity, requiring increasingly advanced optimisation and trading approaches. /p h3Market Expertise /h3 ul liDevelop an in-depth understanding of European power markets, including market design, price formation, generation stack dynamics and across market segments /li liMaintain strong awareness of gas and emissions markets and their interactions with power /li liMonitor capacity mechanisms and ancillary services where relevant /li liFormulate and express market views to generate value beyond intrinsic asset optimisation, including discretionary positioning /li /ul h3Asset Expertise /h3 ul liBuild a detailed technical understanding of the asset portfolio /li liDetermine optimal dispatch strategies considering operational constraints, costs and market conditions /li liContribute to the development and continuous improvement of analytical and modelling tools /li liSupport the digitalisation of workflows and real-time risk management capabilities /li liWork closely with Research, Digital and IT teams /li liDefine and implement trading and hedging strategies aligned with market conditions and asset constraints /li liExecute trades across power, gas and emissions markets within defined mandates /li liContribute to portfolio balancing, risk management and overall trading performance /li /ul h3Commercial cross-functional interaction /h3 ul liWork with Origination and project teams to support new agreements and portfolio growth /li liLiaise with Operations and asset owners on short-term optimisation and dispatch decisions /li liInteract with diverse functions (Finance, Middle Office, Back Office, IT, Research) as required /li /ul h3Compliance /h3 ul liEnsure full compliance with internal policies and external regulations, including REMIT /li /ul h3Accountabilities /h3 ul liOperate within the Company’s trading governance and risk framework /li liContribute to the performance of the desk, with both collective responsibility and individual impact /li liEnsure adherence to HSE rules, Code of Conduct and applicable regulations /li /ul pYou will operate in a highly dynamic and volatile market environment, shaped by evolving energy flows, regulatory developments, and the energy transition. /p pThis role offers exposure to a diversified and growing portfolio of flexible generation assets, requiring close interaction between trading, operations and commercial teams. /p ul liDegree in Engineering, Finance or equivalent /li li7+ years’ experience in European power trading /li liStrong knowledge and practical experience of: /li liAsset-backed trading and optimisation /li liPower market organisation across several European countries /li liPhysical and financial trading instruments /li liRisk management and trading regulations /li liDemonstrated ability to develop trading views and translate them into measurable performance /li liStrong affinity with quantitative tools and modelling approaches (e.g. dispatch models, optionality) /li liPassionate about analytics and attention to detail /li liAbility to work autonomously and take initiative in a fast-paced environment /li liStrong communication and interpersonal skills /li liFluent in English; additional European languages (for instance Italian and/or Dutch) are a plus /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
