Key Responsibilities:
- Develop business cases for sustainability projects in collaboration with technology suppliers and authorities in the areas of Green H2, CCUS, and CO2 emissions reduction.
- Prepare related dossiers for approval by TotalEnergies management.
- Monitor the development of legal guidelines and regulations that could impact the company’s interests and inform stakeholders.
- Represent TotalEnergies‘ interests to the German authorities by explaining the strategy and challenges.
- Propose further development of related rules in collaboration with external consulting firms, state and federal authorities, and technology partners.
- Develop financing strategies that include subsidy programs.
You report to the Head of Economics and Sustainability.
Qualifications:
- Senior engineer with at least 15 years of professional experience in refinery or chemical industry.
- In-depth knowledge of technology and processes used in the industry.
- Strong conceptual, innovative, and strategic thinking skills with a focus on integrating renewable energies.
- Strong communication skills to present complex information and legal contexts understandably.
- Fluency in German and English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
