Senior Fullstack Engineer (Python/React) (m/w/d)

Description

We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to develop impactful solutions across our platform. Your work will include building scalable backend services and APIs in Python (Django), creating user-friendly dashboards in React, and managing deployments with Docker and Kubernetes. Your responsibilities

• Develop backend services and APIs using Python and Django to support our platforms.
• Build analytics and metrics reporting dashboards and tools in React.
• Manage application deployment and lifecycle using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ensure database reliability and performance with Postgres and Redis.
• Use Terraform for infrastructure as code practices.
• Participate in code reviews and team discussions to continuously improve our systems.
• Engage in varied tasks like automation, DevOps, and potentially data science projects.
• Collaborate with product management and design in crafting systems that help our customers.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer or a similar role.
• Proficiency in Python with experience using Django or similar frameworks.
• Experience in Javascript and React (or similar UI libraries/frameworks).
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with databases like Postgres and caching solutions such as Redis.
• Ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and grasp new topics quickly in a remote-first setting.
• Strong communication and writing skills – we’re a remote-first company that relies on this to work largely asynchronously.
• You move fast and have a bias for impact.

Nice to have

• Experience in data science is a bonus but not required.
• You’ve previously worked in a startup environment.
• You’ve started a project from scratch.

Interview Process

• Initial Screening with HR Lead Belinda (30-45 minutes).
• Technical Interview with Product Lead Adam (60 minutes).
• Code review with one of our software engineers (45 minutes).
• Reference Calls.
• Final interview with Markus, our CTO (60 minutes).

WHO WE ARE

We are a team consisting of about 30 people at the moment. Our engineering teams (Tracking & User Experience and AI & Analytics) consist of about four people each. Currently, we are looking for both teams – Frontend for our Tracking & User Experience team and a Database Expert for our AI & Analytics team. We are remote first – which means that your location doesn’t matter to us at all – we believe that you can work from anywhere! Therefore, our employees are located in Germany, Austria, and also in the Netherlands right now. To maintain our great team cohesion, we regularly plan a lot of cool team events to which everyone is invited.
