Your territory
As the lead of one of our software development teams, you will:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers focused on full-stack applications (APIs/backend, infrastructure, mainly internal clients)
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and other teams to develop scalable, secure, and user-friendly software solutions
- Oversee technical architecture, code quality, and best practices to ensure our platforms are robust, secure, and maintainable
- Manage project timelines and prioritize workloads to ensure timely delivery of high-quality features and enhancements
- Continuously identify areas of improvement, introducing new technologies or methods to boost efficiency and performance
- Coordinate with other engineering leads and stakeholders to align on company-wide strategies and initiatives
- Track and measure team KPIs, reporting on progress, challenges, and outcomes to drive data-informed decisions
- Bring in your fresh ideas to make Tractive better – you’ll never hear the phrase “…because that’s how we’ve always done things”
- Continuously grow personally and professionally, take ownership of areas that show your potential, and attend workshops which help you get to the next level
Your profile
Key requirements:
- Proven experience in leading and mentoring high-performing engineering teams with a focus on collaboration and personal development
- Several years of professional experience in software development, including front-end, back-end, and cloud technologies. Experience with cloud infrastructure is a big plus.
- A solid understanding of modern software architectures, design patterns, and best practices
- Project management skills, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at collaborating across functions and building relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset, driven by results and keen on continuously improving processes and tools
- Very good English skills
- Valid Austrian work permit

Salary range
Just so you know what to expect: For this position, we offer a competitive overpayment based on qualification and experience. Annual gross salary starts at €70,000 full-time. At Tractive, that means a 4-day work week with a 3-day weekend. If you bring relevant experience in many of the fields of responsibility, the salary will be considerably higher.
