Overview
In this role you will originate and grow commercial opportunities with Turkish and regional counterparties while connecting local relationships to Trafigura's Geneva Refined Metals trading desks. You will support deal structuring, negotiations, and execution in partnership with experienced traders, and coordinate with operations, logistics, trade finance, and contract administration. You will deliver market intelligence to the Geneva desk heads and help drive regional growth within the refined metals business.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Originate and develop business opportunities with Turkish and regional counterparties
- Serve as the primary liaison between local market relationships and the Geneva Refined Metals desks
- Support deal structuring, contract negotiations, and execution with experienced traders
- Coordinate with internal operations, logistics, trade finance, and contract administration teams
- Provide regular market intelligence and counterparty insights to Geneva desk heads
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Minimum 4 years' experience in business development, trading, commercial origination, or a related commercial role within commodities
- Experience across the full physical trading cycle from pricing and negotiations to execution, shipment, and settlement
- Ability to spot and act on relative-value opportunities via market research and analysis of forward curves, delivery timing, geographic spreads, and storage economics
- Native Turkish, fluent English in oral and written form
- Commercially curious
- Proactive self-starter
- Strong interpersonal skills for engaging senior counterparties and internal stakeholders
- Familiarity with trade finance instruments
- Contract administration
- Logistics knowledge
