Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT professional to join our team as a Senior Systems Administrator. In this role you will install, configure, and maintain servers and Linux operating systems, use automation tools to manage infrastructure, monitor performance, apply security patches, and support network and database teams. You will also enforce security policies and handle on‑call duties every couple of weeks. Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain servers/VMs and Linux operating systems (Debian, Ubuntu, etc.) Use configuration management and automation tools to manage servers, enforce system configurations, and automate repetitive tasks Monitor system performance and uptime Apply security patches and software updates Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues Manage backups, disaster recovery, and data integrity Support network infrastructure alongside network administrators Support databases alongside DBAs Enforce security policies and compliance Handle on‑call duty every couple of weeks Qualifications
Solid IT education At least 7 years of experience as a Linux systems administrator Experience with Linux administration (Debian, Ubuntu) Experience with virtualization (e.g., Xen) Experience with scripting Experience with web servers and application servers (Apache, Tomcat, HA Proxy) Experience with storage systems (e.g., GlusterFS) Experience with configuration management and automation tools (e.g., Puppet) Knowledge of SQL databases (MySQL, MariaDB incl. Galera Cluster, PostgreSQL) Good English communication skills, both written and spoken Team player mentality and excellent people skills Nice to Haves
Experience with Scrum or Kanban Technical project management experience ITIL DevOps experience Cloud (AWS) knowledge Terraform knowledge Oracle database administration Benefits
