Trasteel Future, the Group's derivatives trading arm, is seeking a Software Development Intern to support the development of AI-driven agent systems, algo-trading strategies, and data tooling.
Role
Development and prototyping of AI agent workflows using frameworks such as LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar
Development and backtesting of algorithmic trading strategies, with focus on signal generation, execution logic, and performance analysis
Design and implementation of Python scripts and tools for automation, data processing, and system integration
Management and querying of relational databases; design of data pipelines supporting trading and operations workflows
Collaboration with Trading and Operations teams to understand business requirements and translate them into functional prototypes
Support for testing, documentation, and iterative improvement of AI tools and integrations
Ability to handle technical and operational tasks beyond the primary scope of responsibility
Requirements and Skills Mandatory Skills
Solid knowledge of Python
Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases
Interest in and basic familiarity with AI agents, LLMs, and orchestration frameworks
Additional Skills
Experience with REST APIs and data integration patterns
Familiarity with version control (Git)
Knowledge of Italian or English
Soft Skills
Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic approach
Operational flexibility and ability to work on diverse tasks
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment typical of commodity markets and international trading
Excellent technical communication skills with a business-oriented mindset
