We are looking for a 3rd Party Supply Planner to join our team and take responsibility for the operational order management of assigned suppliers. In this role, you will help ensure reliable supply, effective inventory management and close collaboration between suppliers, Sales, Manufacturing and our regional Customer Solution Centers.
Your responsibilities
- Convert system-generated purchase requirements into purchase orders
- Track and monitor open purchase orders and prevent overdue deliveries
- Identify, negotiate and resolve demand and supply issues
- Manage inventory and challenge suppliers to achieve the best possible lead times
- Review and coordinate change requests from Sales and Production
- Maintain relevant system settings, master data and MRP parameters
- Communicate and escalate supply bottlenecks to the relevant regions and Customer Solution Centers
- Support phase-in and phase-out activities, including new product introductions and end-of-life items
- Contribute to product transfer projects, drawing changes and replacement tool orders
- Monitor supplier delivery performance, backlogs, inventory and lead-time development
Your profile
- Degree in Business Administration or comparable practical experience
- Approximately two to four years of experience in purchasing within a distribution or logistics environment
- Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP
- Confident use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Good written and spoken English
- Clear and proactive communication style
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative
- Flexible approach and willingness to travel occasionally when required
