As Global Manager Materials & Compliance, you will lead and coordinate operational Materials & Compliance activities globally. You will help ensure efficient regulatory processes, provide compliance support across the organization and respond to customer-specific requirements.

The role also supports the enhancement of material master data management, the maintenance of compliance-related systems and databases, and the monitoring of global regulatory developments. You will collaborate closely with different functions and contribute to regulatory integration activities, R&D projects and strategic initiatives, helping to establish globally harmonized practices.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the global operational regulatory team and coordinate day-to-day compliance activities
  • Manage and continuously improve global processes related to material code creation, portfolio management, material data sheets and compliance documentation
  • Maintain and enhance global material databases, systems and digital solutions supporting material data administration
  • Monitor global regulatory developments and ensure that new requirements are implemented in a timely manner
  • Support customers with regulatory inquiries, compliance requests and specific customer requirements
  • Develop and maintain robust processes to ensure the regulatory and contractual compliance of materials and material approvals
  • Drive close cross-functional collaboration between R&D, Operations and Sales
  • Escalate and manage supplier non-conformities and compliance-related issues
  • Support acquisitions, integrations and business transformation projects from a regulatory perspective
  • Participate in global networks and industry associations to promote harmonized practices and stay informed about emerging trends
  • Provide regulatory and material compliance expertise to R&D projects
  • Support the Director Materials & Compliance with operational, strategic and continuous improvement initiatives

Your Profile

  • PhD in Chemistry, preferably with a focus on organic or polymer chemistry
  • Extensive expertise in polymers and elastomers
  • At least five years of relevant industry experience in areas such as materials management, laboratory operations, material approvals and product stewardship
  • Strong communication skills in both English and German
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Strategic and solution-oriented thinking
  • Strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Proactive, cooperative and confident in taking initiative
  • Open-minded, with strong intercultural competence and the ability to work effectively in a global environment
