1. Technical Requirements:

  1. Education: Completed university degree or equivalent qualification. Experience in foundation and research environments is also relevant.
  2. Knowledge of Bundeswehr Structures: Deep understanding of organizational structures, decision-making processes, and procurement procedures within the Bundeswehr.
  3. Contractual and Legal Knowledge: Solid knowledge of national and international contracts, procurement law, and compliance regulations in a military context.
  4. IT Knowledge: Experience with relevant IT systems and software solutions used in the Bundeswehr environment.
  5. Interdisciplinary Skills: Ability to integrate knowledge from various disciplines (e.g., humanities, research) and apply it to the Bundeswehr environment.

2. Professional Experience:

  1. Project Experience: Proven professional experience in the defense industry.
  2. Customer Support: Proven success in managing large clients and/or complex projects.
  3. Network: Broad network within the Defense Industry and with relevant industry partners, foundations, and research institutions.

3. Personal Requirements:

  1. Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills in both German and English.
  2. Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to create win-win situations.
  3. Resilience: High stress resistance and the ability to work in a dynamic and sometimes highly sensitive environment.

4. Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Retention: Building and maintaining long-term relationships with the Defense industry, foundations, research institutions, and other relevant partners.
  2. Project Management: Leading and coordinating projects within the portfolio, ensuring timely and budget-compliant implementation.
  3. Strategy Development: Developing and implementing strategies for business development in the Bundeswehr environment as well as in foundation and research projects.
  4. Contract Management: Monitoring and managing contracts, ensuring compliance with contract terms, and identifying optimization potential.
  5. Reporting: Regular reporting on the status of projects, market trends, and business opportunities.

5. Additional Qualifications:

  1. Certifications in project management (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) and/or in IT security (e.g., CISSP) are advantageous.
