UAT Tester — German Speaking in Berlin

Help launch an established US retail brand in Germany

I’m working with a retail business that makes luxury essentials more affordable by cutting out the middleman.

Following expansion into Canada and the UK, they’re now preparing to launch in Germany and need a German-speaking Manual QA Tester to help make sure the customer experience is ready.

The focus is practical: work through the website and apps as a customer would, checking that what you see, read and experience matches what’s intended.

Does the German sound natural? Are product details and offers displaying correctly? Does each screen match the design? Is there anything confusing, inconsistent or out of place?

You’ll check customer journeys, spot issues and clearly explain how to reproduce them, working with product, merchandising and QA teams to get them fixed before launch.

You don’t need to write code or understand the technical complexity behind the website. The role is about careful manual testing, strong language skills and an eye for the details customers notice.

Could be a strong fit if you:

• Speak native or near-native German and fluent English
• Have hands-on manual testing or UAT experience on customer-facing websites and apps
• Can spot awkward translations, inconsistent content and small visual differences
• Are comfortable checking journeys across web, iOS and Android
• Can describe issues clearly so others can reproduce and resolve them
• Are based in or near Berlin or London and can attend the office when needed

Experience in e-commerce, localisation or launching into new markets would be useful, as would familiarity with Figma. French is a bonus, with a separate French-speaking role also open.

A good opportunity for someone who enjoys looking at a product through the customer’s eyes and helping get the details right before launch.
