Join Trimble\’s innovative multi-sensor team at our office in Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn as a GNSS / INS Navigation Engineer. Bring your ambition and dedication to advance real-time Aided Inertial Navigation Systems (AINS) technology. Your effort will focus on enhancing Trimble’s precise GNSS positioning solutions by integrating advanced multi-sensor technology into the ProPoint engine. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to both existing products and the development of next-generation solutions.

Key responsibilities :

1. Develop and enhance AINS technology, tightly-integrated with precise GNSS, to improve positioning accuracy and reliability.
2. Implement real-time algorithms in C++, test and verify.
3. Utilize Matlab and/or Python for data analysis, visualization, and algorithm development.
4. Support existing products by monitoring performance, identifying improvements, and resolving issues.
5. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, document problems, and communicate progress.
6. Contribute to IP protection efforts by documenting innovations and participating in patent filings.
7. Support multi-sensor research by developing prototypes and demonstrators.

Skills & experience required :

1. Master\’s degree in Navigation, Aerospace, Robotics, Geodesy, or related engineering disciplines.
2. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills.
3. Proficiency in C++ programming and software development.
4. Experience in Matlab, Python or a comparable language.
5. Excellent communication skills and ability to discuss complex technical topics in English.
6. Ability to work effectively as part of a development team with minimal supervision in a fast-paced development environment with changing priorities.

Preferred experience :

1. Background in any of the following: Inertial sensing, AINS, sensor fusion, precise GNSS, real-time algorithms, and embedded systems.
2. Experience with quality assurance and navigation system field applications.
3. Familiarity with Jira or similar issue-tracking software.
