We are currently seeking an experienced PMO Officer to join a leading Insurance client of ours based in Zurich . This exciting opportunity will involve working on multi-million pound Portfolio of Transformation projects , where you will be instrumental in driving consolidation, consistency and synergy across all projects. Our client is looking for a “can do” type of individual, who is able to work independently to solve complex challenges without direct supervision. The role will require someone who can build the foundations of an excellent PMO and put the mechanisms in place, hence why the role requires someone who is self-driven that can provide solutions and has the gravitas and experience to implement without seeking approval.

The role requires English language skills, and candidates to be Switzerland based, ideally Zurich and surrounding areas as travel is required due to hybrid working conditions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist Project Managers with project planning, scheduling, and budgeting tasks.
  • Maintain and update project documentation, including timelines, resource allocation plans, and risk registers.
  • Track project progress, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and identify potential roadblocks.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate status of Projects Portfolio and performance to stakeholders.
  • Manage project templates, methodologies, and tools within the PMO framework.
  • Facilitate project meetings, taking minutes and ensuring action items are tracked and completed.
  • Provide administrative support to the PMO team, including managing schedules, calendars, and communication channels.

Desirable Requirements :

  • Change Management skills (e.g. Prosci certificate )
  • Project Management certification (PMP, Prince 2 )
  • Experience working in a PMO environment.

The role offers the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement and is a long-term contract position.

This is initially a part-time role (50%), with the potential for increased hours (80-100%) dependent on experience. Office presence is required on specific days. Change management skills are a plus.
