This newly created role offers a unique opportunity to shape and drive PR efforts in one of Europe’s key markets. You will work closely with the Head of PR, Europe to support regional PR initiatives and ensure aligned communications across the European team. Your focus will be on strategic media relations, brand storytelling, and trade events, with a strong emphasis on growing Trip.com’s media presence in Germany.
With your strong media network, you’ll drive brand awareness and engagement across both B2B and B2C markets, positioning Trip.com as a leading travel platform in Germany and across Europe.
In this Role, you’ll get to:
- Develop and execute PR strategies aligned with global and European frameworks, shaping Trip.com’s local narrative.
- Develop and maintain strong media relationships to secure high-impact coverage across key publications, while coordinating closely with our PR agency to enhance outreach and maximize exposure.
- Oversee Local PR campaigns, including content creation, media briefings, interviews, and press releases ensuring effective outreach to both B2B and B2C audiences.
- Support Regional PR campaigns, industry and media partnerships, and thought leadership initiatives.
- Support trade events and conferences across Europe, ensuring Trip.com maintains a strong industry presence.
- Identify and mitigate PR risks while ensuring brand protection.
- Support crisis communications and review public-facing content to manage reputational risks.
What you\’ll Need to Succeed:
- 6-8 years of experience in PR, Communications, or Journalism, with a strong focus on Germany and European markets.
- Proven track record of executing high-impact PR campaigns and securing top-tier media coverage.
- Established media network in Germany with strong industry relationships.
- Experience managing PR across multiple European markets is a plus.
- Native German speaker with professional-level English; additional European languages (French, Spanish, Italian) are a bonus.
- Exceptional writing and storytelling skills in German and English.
- Strategic thinker with expertise in brand positioning and media engagement.
- Familiarity with international media and on-the-ground PR experience in Germany (agency or in-house preferred).
- Experience in social media marketing and digital PR is an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.
