The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (SR HRBP) will work closely with the Director of HR to provide thought leadership and drive HR initiatives that align with TRISTAR’s long‑term goals and strategic business objectives. The SR HRBP serves as a subject‑matter expert across multiple HR functions, including workforce planning, leadership development, employee relations, performance management, compliance with employment laws and regulations, and acts as a trusted advisor to management and employees.

No direct supervisory responsibility unless assigned.
Essential Functions and Duties
Develop and implement HR initiatives that align with business goals and long‑term strategic plans.
Lead organizational change initiatives, restructures, and business transformation.
Provide guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, and succession planning.
Analyze workforce metrics and recommend solutions to improve performance and engagement.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives.
Coach executives and people managers on leadership effectiveness.
Support conflict resolution and difficult employee conversations.
Manage complex employee relations issues and workplace investigations.
Support updating and creating HR policies and procedures.
Ensure consistent application of HR policies and employment practices.
Develop management plans and communication strategies.
Partner with Compensation and Benefits teams on salary planning and market competitiveness.
Partner with Legal and HR Compliance Manager on employment related matters.
Provide guidance to managers on policy interpretation, performance management, corrective action, and compliance.
Collaborate with Learning and Development to identify leadership and employee development opportunities.
Stay current on HR trends, best practices, regulatory updates, and employment law.
Lead or support HR projects, audits, compliance reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Organizational Development.
10+ years of progressive HR experience.
4–6+ years supporting senior leaders as an HR Business Partner.
Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM‑CP, or higher).
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearance.
Experience supporting senior leadership and multiple business units.
Experience supporting a multi‑site government contracting environment.
Experience leading HR initiatives or projects.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced interpersonal, coaching, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and strict confidentiality.
In‑depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
Preferred Qualifications
SHRM‑SCP or SPHR.
Prosci Change Management Certification.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Power Automate.
Working Conditions
Remote – primarily office‑based with extensive computer and HRIS use.
Travel to corporate office once a month.
Occasional travel for industry events, client sites, and support of HR initiatives and projects.
Frequent interaction with employees, managers, and leadership both in person and virtually.
Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours to support time‑sensitive or confidential HR matters.
