About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Director to lead the successful delivery of major Data Centre construction projects in Frankfurt. This role offers the chance to oversee complex, mission-critical developments from early design and procurement stages through to construction, commissioning, and project close-out.
The successful candidate will act as the primary client interface, ensuring projects are delivered safely, sustainably, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead multidisciplinary teams and work closely with stakeholders across all phases of the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall project leadership and governance
- Managing client relationships and stakeholder engagement
- Leading multidisciplinary project delivery teams
- Project controls, planning, scheduling, and reporting
- Pre-construction strategy and delivery
- Procurement and contract management
- Construction and site management oversight
- Commercial and cost management
- Quality assurance and quality control
- Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) leadership
- Risk and claims management
- Driving project performance and successful outcomes
- Project commissioning, handover, and close-out
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline
- Extensive experience delivering large-scale construction projects and programmes
- Minimum 5 years' experience within the Data Centre sector
- Previous experience as a Project Director, Construction Director, or equivalent senior leadership position
- Background working within a PMC, EPCM, Construction Management consultancy, or Main Contractor environment
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and project controls
- Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent client-facing, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive, organised, and solutions-driven approach
- Fluent German and English language skills
- Willingness to be site-based a minimum of three days per week
