Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Construction Supervisor / Site Engineer to support the delivery of the BESS Hambach 2 project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supervising construction and installation activities on site, ensuring that works are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with required quality standards.
The role requires a proactive individual with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise construction and installation activities on site.
- Monitor and verify that all works are carried out in accordance with approved construction and execution drawings.
- Ensure compliance with project schedules, budgets, agreed quality standards, and health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Participate in regular site and construction meetings with contractors and stakeholders.
- Track and document construction progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager and Site Management Team.
- Coordinate ongoing activities with other site supervisors and discipline leads to ensure efficient project execution.
- Identify, document, and report defects, non-conformities, and performance issues relating to contractors and subcontractors.
- Support the preparation and issuance of non-conformance reports and deficiency notices where required.
- Review and assess contractor variation claims and change requests.
- Assist with the inspection, testing, and acceptance of partial and final project deliverables.
- Support the implementation of corrective actions to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Candidate Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
- Alternatively, certified Engineering Technician with relevant site supervision experience.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Proven experience supervising construction and installation activities on industrial, energy, infrastructure, or renewable energy projects.
