Delivery Director - Data & Ai in Geneva

Delivery Director, Data Lakehouse AI Platform (Freelance, Geneva) A leading Swiss technology consultancy is bidding to build a new data lakehouse and AI platform for a major public healthcare institution in Geneva. It's a 5-year programme, and they need a senior French-speaking delivery leader to help win it and then run it. The role You'll own the delivery side of the bid from day one. That means shaping the delivery approach, writing the delivery sections, and presenting them in French at the client audition and POC. If the bid is awarded, you'll lead mobilisation, platform delivery and the long-term client relationship. Timeline Bid phase: Now to end of January 2027, 60 to 80%, with full availability around submission (November), the audition (late November) and the POC (mid-January) Delivery phase: From Q1 2027 if awarded, 80 to 100% for 12 to 18 months or more, with extension options What you'll bring 15+ years in enterprise technology delivery, including 5+ as Delivery, Programme or Engagement Director on multi-million data or platform programmes Delivery ownership on large public tenders, including orals and POCs Architect-level understanding (not hands-on) of lakehouse platforms, open table formats, federated SQL engines, Kubernetes, IAM and fine-grained access control On-premise delivery in regulated environments with sensitive personal data Strong commercial management: TCO, rate grids, SLAs and change requests Native French and fluent English Hospital or healthcare data experience Swiss public procurement (AIMP) Apache Iceberg, Dremio, Starburst/Trino or Cloudera AI-enabled data platforms The details Freelance or payroll options, with regular on-site presence in Geneva and a competitive day rate. #J-18808-Ljbffr
