Our client is looking for a hands‑on Technical Lead to build and shape a new Fraud Prevention & Player Protection team within its core B2B platform.

This is an opportunity to combine technical leadership with hands‑on Kotlin development while helping build technology that prevents fraud, protects players and supports responsible gambling.

You’ll have the freedom to influence architecture, evaluate modern fraud prevention solutions and explore how AI can improve both software development and fraud detection. Rather than simply maintaining existing systems, you’ll help shape a new domain from the ground up.

Your responsibilities

• Build, lead and develop a small engineering team, initially consisting of two engineers.
• Shape the technical direction and architecture of the Fraud Prevention & Player Protection domain.
• Stay hands‑on, developing backend services with Kotlin and Spring Boot.
• Evaluate and integrate modern fraud detection and prevention solutions.
• Take end‑to‑end ownership of microservices, from development to production.
• Collaborate with Product, Customer Operations and other stakeholders to turn complex business requirements into pragmatic technical solutions.
• Champion AI‑assisted development and explore practical applications of agentic AI.

What we're looking for

• Experience leading engineers or taking technical ownership within a software engineering team.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Kotlin and Spring Boot.
• Experience with MongoDB and/or PostgreSQL.
• A solid understanding of microservices, Kubernetes and production systems.
• A collaborative leadership style that encourages autonomy, accountability and continuous development.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work across technical and business teams.
• An interest in AI‑assisted software development; experience with agentic AI is a plus.
